What do outstanding school leadership teams do differently from everyone else?

It is not an easy question to answer, but Eamonn Farrar knows. Indeed you might expect him to, since in 2008 the Ofsted inspection graded Hurworth School as outstanding in every single category.

A year later, an Ofsted subject inspection of literacy and numeracy in his school was also graded outstanding. And Hurworth has been in the DCSF top 1% in the country for performance for KS2-4 value added in the past 2 years. Eamonn is a National Education Leader and his school is a National Support School. With over 1,000 delegates trained by him in Assertive Mentoring and Eamonn is an expert in kick-starting leaps in development. The School is now one of just 100 newly designated Teaching Schools.

Eamonn engages in straight talking. There’s no dry Ofsted-speak or confusing management-speak. And, refreshingly, Eamonn doesn’t flinch from telling the truth. You get what really makes a difference, not what officials think does.
